Maintenance Assistant Job Summary

We are currently seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant. The ideal candidate for this position is a strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, flexible and willing to take on a variety of maintenance and special projects as the need arises. Reporting directly to the site Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that facilities throughout the organisation are in good operating condition. Responsibilities will include performing general maintenance and repair of the building, grounds, and equipment across the site. Maintenance Assistant responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform a variety of general maintenance duties across the site
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests
  • Planned and Preventive maintenance duties
  • Comply with all Health and safety regulations
  • Diagnose & troubleshoot issues
  • Work with and maintain relationships with contractors

Maintenance Assistant qualifications and skills

  • Positive ‘Can Do’ attitude
  • 2+ years’ maintenance experience
  • Willingness to work outside normal work hours when required
  • Ability to work well under minimal supervision
  • Capacity to take direction
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend, kneel, stoop and lift or move heavy equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and other manuals and documents.
  • Plumbing/Electrical experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong customer service skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £17,500.00-£22,000.00 per year
