AWS Data Architect, Hybrid/Remote

AWS Data Architect / Lead Data Architect, London, up to £130,000 – Remote/Hybrid – Spark, Data Bricks, Data Lakes, Big Data Solutions, Lambda, Terraform, AWS

My client is looking for a talented and motivated AWS Data Architect who has good experience in owning and developing big data solutions and data lake projects.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse, re-architect and re-platform existing data platforms to a new centralize data platforms on AWS cloud using AWS tools and 3rd party services.
• Ownership of different elements of the Data Engineering Teams’ workflows including data modeling, data pipeline, database design, automation, and ELT-related tasks.
• Design and maintenance of data pipelines, integrating from numerous internal and external sources into a data warehouse.
• Identification of any data quality issues in the data warehouse to allow and drive the use of accurate information at all times by all business functions across the business.
• Engage with internal customers technology leaders to ensure that the data requirements are appropriately translated into technical solutions
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Data Management stakeholders within the business to gain insight into future demand and provide guidance for data management strategy
• Manage a team of data engineers to deliver a high-quality service. Enable them to meet professional development objectives.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Expertise in the collection, migrating and transformation data using Python, SQL, Spark
• Experience in REST-APIs for data transfers
• Experience in modern data processing platforms, data warehouses and data lakes
• Expert skills in building cloud-based data pipelines using data orchestration and workflow platforms
• Advanced SQL skills, with a deep understanding of how to write performant SQL and debug problems
• Expert in AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Amazon Redshift

Salary: Up to £130,000+ package
